The city and other local organizations have partnered with California Walks and Berkley SafeTREC to hold a workshop to increase community education on pedestrian and bicycle safety.
The workshop will be taking place today at the Boys and Girls Club of Kern County from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The goal of the workshop is for city staff to join local residents and teach them the safest and best practices for walking and biking in the community.
Dinner will be served at the workshop, and childcare and translation will also be available.
