Shafter High School was investigated after a written threat was found on Thursday afternoon.
Lisa Krch, Public Information and Communications Manager for the Kern High School District told 23ABC the threat was discovered in a bathroom , similar in nature to previous threats around Kern County in recent weeks.

Krch added the staff and faculty of Shafter High School was notified through e-mail, and an all-call went out to parents just before 12:30 p.m.
The threat has been deemed non-credible, and is being investigated by Shafter P.D., the Kern High School District Police Department, and the Administration at Shafter High School.
Krch told 23ABC that student safety is their top priority, and there will be increased security on the campus of Shafter High School on Friday as a precaution.
