KFSN-TV in Fresno says one of two Fullerton firefighters that have been missing in Yosemite was found late Tuesday morning.
ABC30 is reporting the Fullerton Fire Chief says Dave Brown, who had been hiking with Javier Avelar, walked into a ranger station on Tuesday. Brown spoke with the National Park Service, but it is unclear what happened.
Authorities are still searching for Avelar.
Yosemite National Park officials say the two firefighters are experienced hikers and had planned a six day backpacking trip near Hetch Hetchy.
The officials said the two had planned to hike the Smith Meadow Trails and were supposed to finish through White Wolf on Sunday, but they did not return.
