Students attending Junior High through High Schools in Kern County are invited to participate in an Essay Contest sponsored by the Writers of Kern, a branch of the California Writers Club.
According to the Writers of Kern, the project should be aligned with curriculum standards in the area of argumentative writing addressing the question: "What does the role of the public library in the Internet Era?"
Essays can be submitted until Wednesday, October 31, no later than 5 p.m.
