After weeks of speculation amid budget concerns, Sheriff Donny Youngblood said the KCSO substation in Frazier Park will not be closing down.

Youngblood and District 4 Supervisor David Couch discussed the rumor in front of a crowd of nearly 100 Frazier Park residents at a public meeting on Saturday.

Youngblood says that, despite recent budget troubles, the substation will not be closing and deputies will not be cut from the Frazier Park substation.

Both Youngblood and Supervisor Couch say that social media helped fuel the rumor that the substation would be closing their doors.
