A Texas teenager shot himself in the head, possibly while playing a game of Russian Roulette, according to a report.

The unidentified victim, a 15-year-old boy from the Houston area, shot himself in the head on Friday morning, investigators told KHOU-TV. The shooting was described as an accident.

A friend of the victim reportedly told his father the boy was playing Russian Roulette, according to KHOU. Police did not confirm the detail about the game to reporters.

The victim was listed in critical condition on Friday.
