For more than a week, France has been completely locked down — citizens have been asked to only leave their homes for once a day for no more than an hour in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

But the lockdown didn't stop one man from running a marathon.

According to the BBC, 32-year-old Elisha Nochomovitz ran 26.2 miles in a single go last week — all from his 23-foot-long balcony.

In order to run 26.2 miles in limited space, Nochomovitz had to run the length of his balcony about 6,014 times.

Nochomovitz completed the "journey" in six hours and 48 minutes, a personal record.

"My only pleasure is running, no matter what the time," Nochomovitz told CNN.

While he says he's run 36 marathons, he said the marathon at his home was the hardest. With such limited space, he didn't have room to pick up momentum putting more stress on his legs.

CNN reports that Nochomovitz dedicated his run to healthcare workers helping treat patients with COVID-19.

According to Johns Hopkins, there are at least 20,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, and at least 862 people had died in connection with the disease.
