TAFT, Calif. — Following guidance from the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, and the Kern County Public Health Department, school districts in Taft have announced temporary school closures.

The Taft City School District will close at student dismissal time on Wednesday, March 18th and reopen on Tuesday, April 14th.

The Taft Union School District will be temporarily closing at close at the end of school on Wednesday, March 18th as well.

School districts are following guidance from officials to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
