Netflix has cut ties with Danny Masterson, a star on "The Ranch," amid allegations that Masterson sexually assaulted three women.
“As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch," Netflix's statement read, according to USA Today and Entertainment Weekly. "Yesterday was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him.”
Los Angeles police have been investigating the sexual assault allegations against Masterson since March. Though Masterson has not been charged with a crime, his firing comes one day after Huffington Post reported that Netflix executives initially did not believe Masterson's accusers.
Masterson has appeared in all 30 episodes of The Ranch, which premiered on Netflix in 2016. Previously, Masterson starred as Hyde in That '70s Show along side his co-star on The Ranch, Ashton Kutcher.
After discussing with the producers, we've decided to write Danny Masterson off of The Ranch. Yesterday was his last day of work, and we'll make new episodes in 2018 without him.
