A mother was shot and killed at a party to celebrate her 2-year old's birthday, police said.

Six other people were wounded in the shooting at the party in Dyersburg, Tenn., Atlanta-based WSB-TV reported. 

A 6-year old was among those injured with the shooting victims ages going up to 32, according to WSB-TV. Officers arrived at the scene around 6:20 p.m. local time on Thursday, Police Chief Steven Isbell said. 

Police are not sure of the motive, but they are looking for one person of interest. The conditions of the victims were unknown.
