Extra crispy lawsuit: Woman suing KFC for $20 million

A New York grandmother is suing KFC after she said her bucket of chicken contained less than advertised.

According to the lawsuit, Anna Wurtzburger says she purchased a $20 bucket of chicken from a Hopewell Junction, New York KFC in July. She was expecting a bucket overflowing with fried chicken, but found the bucket wasn’t enough to feed her whole family.

“I came home and thought, ‘Where’s the chicken?’ I thought I was going to have a couple of meals,” Wurtzburger told the New York Post.

Wurtzburger called KFC’s corporate headquarters to complain, and was told that the ad showed buckets overflowing with chicken so audiences could see the product on TV.

“If you want the public to look at your chicken, put it in a dish,” she fumed. “It’s a lot of BS. … I expect to get what you’re telling me,” she told the Post

Wurtzburger also said the restaurant sent her two gift certificates as an apology, but she wasn’t having it. She hired a lawyer and is suing KFC for $20 million in damages.

KFC has called the lawsuit “meritless,” according to the Post.
