BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Former Secretary of Housing and Development Julian Castro announced Saturday in San Antonio Texas that he would run for President in 2020.
Castro, a Democrat and is also the former San Antonio Mayor. He made his formal announcement to the public just before 10 a.m. Saturday.
During Castro's announcement he touched on many things during his press conference including education, universal health care, comprehensive immigration reform, LGBTQ rights, affordable low income housing and veteran homelessness.
