Hillary Clinton wins Washington DC primary, final one of the year

Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is the winner of the Washington D.C. primary Tuesday evening; the final primary of the 2016 election cycle. 

Clinton and challenger Bernie Sanders met Tuesday night. Sanders has said his campaign would continue through the Democratic National Convention next month in Philadelphia. 

No details of the meeting had emerged as of Tuesday evening. 

Twenty delegates were up for grabs in Tuesday's primary. Clinton won with 78.7 percent of the vote, compared to 21.1 percent for Sanders. Clinton earns 16 delegates, compared to four for Sanders. 

Clinton entered Tuesday's primary with 2,784 pledged and super delegates. She only needs 2,383 to win the nomination.
