Hope Hicks, President Donald Trump's former communications director, will return to the White House as a senior adviser, according to reports from The New York Times and ABC News.

Both outlets report that Hicks will serve as counselor to the president, and will report to Jared Kushner.

Hicks, 31, began serving as the White House Communications Director from August 2017, taking over for Anthony Scaramucci, who held the job for 11 days. Hicks announced her resignation in February 2018, one day after she testified in the Mueller probe.

After leaving the White House, Hicks worked in communications for Fox.

Hicks joined the Trump Organization in 2014, mainly running PR for Trump's daughter, Ivanka. In 2015, Trump named Hicks the press secretary for his potential presidential campaign, a role she continued to serve in throughout the 2016 election cycle.
