NILES, Mich. — No family members were present to say final goodbyes to a Vietnam veteran in Michigan Wednesday, so hundreds of people stood in their place.

A large crowd showed up for the funeral of Wayne Wilson at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.

Many of them admitted they had never met the 67-year-old.

Wilson served six years in the army and apparently had no living family members. He was buried with full military honors.
