A man has been hospitalized after he was stabbed following an altercation involving multiple people in East Bakersfield early Thursday morning.

According to Bakersfield Police, officers were called to the area of Flower and Owens streets at about 1:45 a.m. after reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say they found a man suffering from several stab wounds. He was taken to Kern Medical with major injuries. Police say he's in serious condition.

BPD says multiple people were involved in the fight and multiple suffered injuries. Only the man who was stabbed was taken to a hospital.

No arrests have been made.
