U.S. service members and their families have new travel restrictions starting Friday because of coronavirus.

The Department of Defense says all forms of travel are restricted for level three countries designated by the CDC.

This includes permanent change of station, temporary duty and government-funded leave.

Level three locations are China, Iran, South Korea and several European countries.

The department also says families of service members and civilian personnel cannot travel to level two locations.

For those who have traveled to high-risk countries - all personnel must self-monitor at home for 14 days.

The Pentagon says it will review the policy at the end of the 60-day period.
