Playtex announced they are recalling 3.6 million children's plates and bowls over a choking hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the clear plastic layer over the graphics can peel or bubble from the surface of the plates and bowls, posing a choking hazard.

The plates have various printed designs including cars, construction scenes, giraffes, princesses, superheroes and more.

Playtex is written on the bottom of the plates and bowls, and they were sold separately and as sets.

So far, the company has received 372 reports of the plastic layer bubbling or peeling, and 11 reports of the plastic getting in children's mouths. Four reports of children choking on the piece of plastic were reported.

They were sold at Babies "R" Us, Target, Walmart and other stories nationwide, as well as Amazon.com from October 2009 through August 2017. It was $2.50 for a single plate or bowl and $15 for a mealtime set.

In addition, 1.9 million were sold in Canada.
