Prepare for large crowds this Labor Day weekend

We're now just one day away from the Labor Day holiday weekend and we know it's one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.

Labor Day is considered the unofficial end of summer and whether you're flying or driving to your destination prepare for large crowds. According to TripAdvisor 61 percent of those traveling will be hitting the road and while 27 percent will be flying. Quick trips to the city were also popular are popular. A survey found New York City, Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles, and Orlando were the top destinations.

"Most folks told are looking to spend time outdoors, soak up the nice weather before we're back into the back to schoool routine," said Elizabeth Monahan of TripAdvisor.

No matter how you're getting there TripAdvisor says Thursday, August 29th and Tuesday, September 3rd will be the busiest travel days.
