Regal Cinemas announced on Thursday they would be closing all its U.S. theatres, effective Oct. 8.
According to the company, it was tasked with this decision due to the delays some major studios have enacted due to the dangers of the pandemic.
These closures affect 19 locations and 948 employees.
These closures are temporary, but it is unforeseen when they will end and is dependent on the decisions made by major studios regarding release dates.
