Noreen Fraser died of cancer after spending more than a decade standing up to the disease.

The TV producer and philanthropist was co-creator of the global fundraising initiative "Stand Up to Cancer," which has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for cancer research since its first telethon in 2008.

Fraser also ran the Noreen Fraser Foundation, a non-profit that specifically aimed to raise money for research into the treatment of women's cancers.

Fraser was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Before her work with "Stand Up to Cancer," Fraser was a producer of TV's "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Richard Simmons Show," according to THR.

Fraser died Monday at her home in California. She was 63 years old.
