A street magician was arrested in Florida after attempting to pull off a woman’s bikini during a performance.
The incident reportedly happened Sunday in the beach city of Clearwater. Richard Cook, 51, is now facing felony battery charges.
According to The Huffington Post, Cook was in the middle of performing when he asked for a volunteer. A woman with a bikini came forward, and Cook asked her to keep her hands out in front of her.
That’s when Cook allegedly pulled the woman’s bathing suit bottoms out from her side, police said. She was able to grab the bottoms before her body was exposed to the crowd.
When the woman told Cook she didn’t feel comfortable with the trick, he apparently responded, “You will feel comfortable.” He then attempted to grab her bottoms again.
The victim ran away and reported Cook to nearby police officers, who arrested Cook. He is currently behind bars at the Pinellas County Jail.
