Pop star Taylor Swift has proven that celebrities are just like us – by showing up for jury duty in Nashville.

Photos and video began circulating on social media Monday morning showing Swift posing for photos and even signing an autograph or two.

The 26-year-old was noticeably absent from Sunday night's VMAs in New York and it appears she had a good reason.

It’s unclear as to which case Swift was considered as a possible juror. However, officials have confirmed that she was later dismissed.
