TJ Cox introduced bipartisan legislation to fully, permanently fund LWCF

Rep. Tj Cox recently introduced a bipartisan bill fully and permanently being able to fund the Land Water and Conservation Fund.

The fund, allows communities to buy land and turn it into public spaces.

Previous recipients of LWCF funds in and near California's 21st Congressional District include:

Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks

Pixley National Wildlife Refuge

Heritage Park, Lemoore

Hanford Sports Complex, Hanford

"I am proud to stand with a bipartisan and bicameral group of my colleagues to introduce this vital legislation to protect our natural resources and help the American people to preserve our lands," said Rep. TJ Cox. "This legislation will ensure the LWCF receives guaranteed funding needed to protect our national parks and lands that are vital to our communities, all at no cost to the taxpayer. I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance this important legislation, and applaud the White House for supporting our efforts to protect public lands."

Reps. Joe Cunningham, Brian Fitzpatrick), Mikie Sherrill, Mike Simpson, John Katko, Xochitl Torres Small, Lee Zeldin, Kendra Horn , Steve Stivers, Jared Golden and Jeff Fortenberry are cosponsors to this bill.
