CHICAGO — United Airlines has announced new non-binary gender booking options for passengers.
According to the airline, passengers will be given the opportunity to select non-binary gender options. Customers will have the ability to "identify themselves as M(male), F(female), U(undisclosed) or X(unspecified), corresponding with what is indicated on their passports or identification."
Passengers will also have the opportunity to select the title "Mx." during booking and for the United Airlines MileagePlus booking profile.
