Walmart has announced new measures to help seniors and the most vulnerable the opportunity to do their shopping at the retailer in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday, Walmart announced that it would be reserving the hour from 7-8 a.m. every day at select locations "for customers over the age of 60, as well as first responders, customers with disabilities and anyone designated high-risk by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention" to utilize the retailer's pickup order option.

Customers who fall in the categories will have to first order online through the Walmart website before scheduling a pickup time.

A press release went on to say, "Pickup associates are also following enhanced distancing and sanitation procedures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The point of pickup is also contact-free.
