Police investigating northwest Bakersfield home invasion, robbery

Homeowner restrained in car in garage

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield Police are investigating a home invasion in northwest Bakersfield Thursday morning. 

BPD said two suspects entered a home on Pisa Way and Siena Lane, just off Mohawk Street around 1 a.m.Police arrived on scene just after 3 a.m. after a neighbor called police saying they heard someone screaming for help. 

The suspects entered the home, confronted the homeowner and restrained him in a car in the garage, police said. While he was restrained, the suspects stole items from the home. 

Neighbors were helping the victim when police arrived. The homeowner, a 58-year-old man, sustained minor injuries from the incident but is otherwise unharmed. 

The two suspects are described as:

Black man, 20 to 25-years-old, 6'0- 6'4"

Black man, 20 to 25-years-old, 5'10"
