Bakersfield Congressman and House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Republican National Convention next week, the Washington Post reported Monday.
McCarthy (R-Bakersfield) is expected to focus on the House GOP's "Better Way" agenda, including party unity, the Post reported.
McCarthy sent a shockwave through politics last year when he pulled out of the race for Speaker of the House. He remains the House Majority Leader.
The convention is scheduled from July 18-21 in Cleveland, Ohio.
