According to our ABC affiliate in Fresno, 34 more employees at the Ruiz Foods plants in Dinuba and Tulare have tested positive for COVID-19. That brings the total to 77 after 43 cases were reported late last month.

A company spokeperson points out they all happened after the Easter holiday weekend.

Ruiz foods said it has been taking proactive measures to keep team members safe, including requiring masks. They're also encouraging employees to follow safety recommendations when away from work.

The spokesperson says production has been scaled back, but the plants are not shut down.
