Acting Governor Newsom declares state of emergency in Los Angeles and Ventura counties due to fires

Acting Governor Gavin Newsom issued a state of emergency for the Los Angeles and Ventura counties due to the Hill and Woolsey fires. 

Yesterday Acting Governor Newsom issued an emergency proclamation for Butte County due to the effects of the Camp Fire, as well as sent a letter to President Trump and FEMA requesting a Presidential Emergency Declaration for Direct Federal Assistance.
