Around 50 farm workers exposed to a chemical being sprayed in Tulare County

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Around 50 farm workers are being treated after they were exposed to a chemical that was being sprayed in a nearby field in Tulare County.

Tulare County Fire tells Action News that the workers were exposed a little before 11 am Tuesday as they were working along Avenue 408, just west of Road 56.

The area is located between Kingsburg and Dinuba.

The chemical that they were exposed to is unknown.

Officials say that the chemical did not directly contact the workers.

At this time, it is not known how many people will need to be taken to local hospitals.
