As the Creek Fire continues to grow near Shaver Lake, officials with the China Peak Resort say the blaze has now reached their mountain.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, China Peak Resort officials said, "Right now (7:30 p.m. Sept. 8) we are aware that the fire has reached our mountain and a strike team is working hard to manage the flames and protect the structures on the base area."

The post went on to say that employee housing had been damaged, but the entire staff was able to be evacuated. Of the employees, the post said, "a majority are in danger of losing their homes or have lost them already."

The post said they are responding to as many questions as they can, but will be able to be quicker about responding once things settle down.
