FRESNO, Calif. — Every year in October, the Big Fresno Fair takes place, its the Valley's largest event. This year, however, many thought it might be canceled, but, Friday afternoon it was announced that the fair is still on.

Founded in 1884, the fair is one of the largest in the state. This year's Big Fresno Fair will be held October 8-12 then 14-18.

Fair officials will announce modifications the fair will make in August.
