CAHP Credit Union has established a memorial fund in honor of fallen Deputy Mark Stasyuk.

On September 17 around 1:44 p.m., Deputy Stasyuk and his partner, Deputy Julie Robertson, responded to a 911 call surrounding a disturbance at a Pep Boys auto parts store in Rancho Cordova. During the encounter, Deputy Stasyuk and Deputy Robertson were shot at by the suspect. Deputy Stasyuk was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Deputy Robertson was shot in the arm and is in stable condition.

Deputy Stasyuk was a four and a half year veteran of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. He was a patrol officer for the Rancho Cordova Police Department. He leaves behind a wife, mother, father, and sister.

One hundred percent of donations will go to Deputy Stasyuk's family.
