Governor appoints 12 California superior court judges, including one in Kern County

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Governor Jerry Brown today announced the appointment of 12 California superior court judges, including one in Kern County.

Governor Brown appointed Therese M. Foley to the Kern County Superior Court. According to the Governor's Office, Foley has been a sole practitioner since 1989. She previously served as a deputy county counsel at the Office of the Kern County Counsel in 2010 and a law clerk for U.S. Magistrate Judge Theresa A. Goldner at the U,S, District Court, Eastern District of California from 2008 to 2009.

Governor Brown also appointed judges in Los Angeles County, Napa County, Orange County, Sacramento County, and Sutter County.
