SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Tuesday, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed an executive order extending the ability for local governments to halt evictions through September 30.

The order also pertains to various issues in response to the pandemic such as obtaining marriage licenses, provisions for Medi-Cal and the in-home care for older adults.

The order prolongs waivers regarding the capability of counties to enroll people into the CalWORKs program and waiving in-person identification requirements.

The order also prolongs provisions allowing for mail-in renewals of driver’s licenses and IDs.
