According to a tweet at around 1 p.m. Governor Gavin Newsom says that he is headed to Ridgecrest.

Newsom detailed that he was headed down to assess damage and meet with local leaders, first responders, and state officials in Ridgecrest and surrounding areas affected by the earthquakes.
He also thanked those working tirelessly to support the communities.

Gavin also tweeted a picture showing him walking towards an aircraft.
