LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Harvey Weinstein has been charged in Los Angeles with rape and other sex crimes, according to ABC News.
According to reports, Los Angeles County prosecutors are expected to announce criminal charges against Weinstein during a press conference Monday at 11 a.m.
Weinstein's criminal trial in New York began Monday.
Weinstein has been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women, but is facing rape and sexual assault charges based on allegations from two of them.
Accusations against Weinstein were first made public two years ago when more than 80 women came forward with claims of rape and sexual assault.
If Weinstein is convicted he could face life in prison.
