LOS ANGELES (AP) — An investigation of a suspicious item snarled traffic at Los Angeles International Airport amid Fourth of July holiday travel.

Airport police cleared the item around 8 a.m. Friday but by then the upper departure level road had been closed and travelers were diverted to the lower arrival road.

The airport tweeted that the item had been found at Terminal 2. There were no other details.
