REDDING, Calif. — The Mountain Fire has prompted the evacuation of nearly 4,000 people in Northern California.
The fire, burning in the Redding area in Shasta County, has burned more than 600-acres and is threatening about 1,100 homes and buildings. The fire also prompted the full evacuation of the main campus of Shasta College in Redding. There are no reports of injuries.
The fire is 20 percent contained.
