LOGAN HEIGHTS, Calif. — New video has been released of an officer-involved shooting in Logan Heights near San Diego. A witness captured on their cell phone the moment officers shot a suspect Monday afternoon.

The video starts with the suspect of a foot pursuit walking in the middle of the street, toward the direction of police. Yells of "drop the gun" can be heard as the suspect continues walking down the street.

As the suspect proceeds toward officers, police say he pointed a weapon. A hail of gunfire rings out and the suspect falls to the ground.

Two officers then approach the suspect and place him under arrest. The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His identity was not released.

The two officers involved were not injured.
