Saddle Ridge Fire now almost ninety percent contained

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. — There are new numbers regarding the Saddle Ridge Fire, which has been burning for days off Saddle Ridge Road in Los Angeles County.

California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is reporting the blaze has burned almost 8,799 acres and is now 89 percent contained.

Firefighters from the Los Angeles City Department, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and Angeles National Forest continue to fight the fire in their respective jurisdictions.

The L.A. County Fire Department is reporting that fire has damaged 88 structures and destroyed 19 more.

The Saddle Ridge Fire sparked late on Thursday, October 10, and prompted multiple road closures and the evacuation of thousands over the following weekend. Those evacuation orders were lifted Saturday, October 12.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
