A fire burning near Santa Clarita has led to the closure of a major highway on Friday morning.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department tweeted Friday morning saying the Tick Fire jumped the 14 Freeway. That has led to the closure of the 14 in both directions. It is closed northbound from Golden Valley and southbound from Escondido Canyon.
#TickFire *UPDATE* the Fire has jumped the 14 fwy. The 14 is closed in both directions, North bound from Golden Valley, South bound from Escondido Cyn. Additional evacuations are now in place South of 14 fwy east of Sand Cyn, north of Placerita Cyn.,west of Agua Dulce.

There are now evacuations in place south of the 14 east of Sand Canyon, north of Placerita Canyon and west of Agua Dulce.
