SACRAMENTO, Calif. — More than two dozen people are hurt after a light train derailment in Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Fire Department. The incident took place late Thursday night.
A witness said the train left the tracks after colliding with another train car. There were no life-threatening injuries and no fatalities associated with the incident, but 27 people were injured.
Thirteen of the injured have been transported to two local hospitals, according to Captain Keith Wade during a press briefing.
