Looking for some travel destinations that offer goosebumps and cold chills? We sent Brian "Ghost-Stalker" Corsetti out to find the top three most haunted hotels across America!
1. Hotel Monte Vista in Flagstaff, AZ
If you are thinking of visiting this hotel, no one would blame you for having reservations… especially in room 305. It’s often said to be visited by “The Lady in the Rocking Chair.” SPOOKY!
2. Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, CA
This famous destination close to San Diego has hauntings happening all over the hotel, especially in “Kate's Room” where a pretty young lady, Kate Morgan never checked out in November of 1892.
3. The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO
This is the place that inspired Stephen King to write The Shining. Funny that scary Jack Nicholson movie wasn't filmed there, but the comedy Dumb and Dumber starring Jim Carry was. No laughs were had on June 25th 1911, when a room exploded because head chamber master Elizabeth Wilson lit a match during a gas leak. The massive blast destroyed about 10% of the nearly 70,000 square-foot hotel, but Elizabeth just experienced minor injuries.
