UMass Amherst cites hostile armed people

AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts says there's a report of one or two possible "hostile armed" people at a dormitory on its Amherst campus and is ordering people to shelter in place.
The university says on its website campus police have secured a perimeter around Pierpoint Hall.
 
There are no reports of injuries following Thursday night's warning. No other information is available.
