A woman in Istanbul has spent the last 12 years of her life rescuing dogs with a focus on Golden Retrievers. With little luck finding homes for these animals things finally took a turn for the better.
Yasemin Baban noticed a trend in Turkey with Golden Retriever owners. Many liked to own them as puppies, but as they grew older they would abandon them on the street or in the forest.
This type of dog is very loving by nature and would struggle against some of the tougher street animals.
This is when Baban discovered “Adopt A Golden Atlanta,” a place where these dogs could find a home.
As of right now the organization has taken more than 120 Golden Retrievers from Istanbul and works to find them a home.
