It's the end of an era. Volkswagen announced that they will no longer produce the Volkswagen Beetle after the 2019 model-year. 

VW will produce a "Final Edition" of the car. The Volkswagen Beetle has been around for 70 years. 

The company will shift its focus to reviving and producing the Microbus. The company also plans on introducing more electric vehicles.
