Pilot found among wreckage of early Tuesday plane crash in San Bernardino County

A pilot was killed in a small plane crash in a rural area of San Bernardino County Tuesday morning. 
 
The FAA told KABC that a Piper PA-28 flying from Upland to Riverside was reported missing at around 5 a.m. 
 
Sometime before 6:30 a.m., the wreckage of the plane was found in the San Antonio Heights community of San Bernardino County, KABC reported.
 
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department later confirmed that the pilot, a man, had died. His name was not immediately released. 
 
The circumstances of the crash were not immediately known.
