BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Looking to get ahead on you Valentine's Day shopping? The Oildale Community Action Team (OCAT) has you covered. Sunday OCAT is hosting the first of three vendor sales in Oildale. They will be at 501 N. Chester Avenue from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The OCAT vice president, David Kadel said, the event is geared toward showing the Oildale community that there are good things to do their community. And also by getting more members of the Oildale community out and about and together they can work toward more future goals for the community.

Kadel said the next OCAT event will be a community clean up on Saturday April 13th. He hopes events like the vendor sale will help them raise enough money to help them fund Fourth of July parade in Oildale as well as Christmas lights along the streets during the holidays.
